Ok..this just looks crazy. I mean.. I love french fries, bacon is always soo yummy, and who doesn’t love food on a stick.. but man this is just wrong. This recipe was developed after Phil Lees at Last Appetite created French Fry Coated Hot Dog and decided to swap the hot dog out for a thick slick of bacon. I’d take a bite but I don’t know if I could finish it. I’d probably have to drink super hot strong tea to wash down the grease…lol
After watching a ton of Food TV, I’ve realized that there are a ton of food out there that are simply.. heart attack food. They look damn good..but really really really bad for you. I’m gonna start to feature what I think are some pretty unhealthy food and let me know what you think. I mean..don’t get me wrong.. I think the food looks good…it just looks so bad for you that it should be illegal…
This is one of the cutest sites I’ve ever seen! This whole website is dedicated to bento boxes and Biggie the author of this blog, has tons of super cute ideas on how to pack the cutest lunches ever. She has ideas on how to cut apples into rabbits, hot dogs into octopus shapes, and even how to boil eggs into different shapes! Though realistically we’d have to eat 2-3 of these boxes to get full…they are super cute. So next time I want to look super girly I’ll whip one out and impress some strangers.. LOL!!!
Not only does Biggie have recipe ideas for lunch boxes, she also has really great tips on how to freeze and keep stuff fresh. My favorite tip is how to freeze individual portions of meat in zip locks. The great thing is you can go to Costco and buy 200lb of meat and spend the next 9 hours packing them in zip locks! ahahahah FUN! But seriously…keeping meat like this helps greatly with defrosting and it stores in the freezer nicely when folded.
Anyhoo… checkout this site and maybe you’ll get inspired to make some of the food yourself…then you can email me the pics so I can make fun of how ghey you are. LOL.
P.S. I do have to admit, I never pack lunches for myself and the only person that does pack lunch is Jon…but if I started to pack Jon lunches like these…aw man would he get made fun of… LOL
Our awesome whippet Neo loves to play with the hair dryer! I noticed it once after I had just washed my makeup brushes and I was just about to blow dry them when Neo came running in and started to bite the air that was coming out of the dryer. He got sooo excited that he ran around the room and came back to bite some more. Now every time I turn the dryer on he gets excited. Well.. a little less now that he’s 4 years old..but still excited in his own adult way…lol
Ok.. I posted earlier about Ahi Poke and it’s time for Tako Poke!!! YUM! Tako is the Japanese word for octopus and man is it goooood. I tried to make this back in Cali with tako i bought from Mitsuwa but it’s just not the same. It was good…but nowhere close to the ones we tried in Hawaii. The Tako Poke in the pictures below were bought from Foodland and it was yummy. Foodland is cool cause it had a ton of fresh poke everyday. The place we stayed was really close to one so we went there to buy poke a few times during our stay.
Hey guys! I told you that Jenny Chu is the coolest and here’s the proof! Jon, Jaxon, and I were shooting with Jenny yesterday for her website iHeartJennyChu.com and I happened to mention that it would be fun if she shot a video clip of her saying hi to our guild (yes super nerdy..I know). I love Jenny Chu! This girl is super cute and I feel like I’ve known her my whole life. I met Jenny 3 years ago in April and she was one of the first model we shot for Import Icons. She is just as funny and nice now as she was the first day I met her. She’s grown tremendously in the import scene and I think this is the 2nd year in a row where she’s going to be appearing at most if not all of the Hot Import Night shows. Not only does Jenny Chu work a full time job, she also travels for shows on the weekends, gogo dances, and models… phew…makes me tired just typing it.
Last November I was lucky enough to stay in Oahu for 2 full weeks and we had soooooooooooo much fun. In the first 3 days it was raining pretty hard and this video was actually taken from one of the mornings after it rained. The beach was full of debris that was washed in from the storm so we decided to go walk around and explore. After a few minutes we noticed that there were coconuts scattered on the beach that had floated in. Very Animal Crossings…lol
Since us tourists have never had a fresh coconut before (besides the ones at the supermarket), we decided to crack one open and eat it up. I remembered an episode of Survivorman where Les was stranded on an island and had to eat coconuts…so I began to look for a sharp corner for Jon to use to peel the husk. Unfortunately…there really weren’t any sharp corners anywhere.. so I think Jon just used a big knife. LOL. Man that husk is crazy thick. It’s soft, but packed in sooo tight that it took Jon forever to cut through.
Finally he got into the coconut and it was soo tasty! The meat wasn’t as soft so it must have been and older coconut..but still very fresh and yummy. Woot
Although my video isn’t as fun and interesting as a regular episode of Survivorman… it’s still funny to me. I do have to apologize for the yelling and screaming for no reason.. LOL
WOot! I just got back from a shoot and realized that I received an award from YouTube! Ok.. it’s not much of an award.. lol.. I was #54 – Most Subscribed (This Week) – Directors.
