Not everyone uses Photoshop to enhance their photos and here are some great examples of cool photos that were actually shot the way it’s seen. I think they’re pretty darn cool!

Sheep LED Art

March 25, 2009 Animals Rock, Cool Stuff Comments

Wow…I’ve always known that it took a lot of skill to herd sheep but I had no idea how much control a sheep herder actually has over the the movements of the dogs and the sheep! After watching this awesome video…you’re gonna be blown away at how smart these dogs are and how much skill these herders have. A really underrated career… lol.

I do wish that the dogs didn’t have to nip at the sheep…makes me miss Babe and his Baa-ram-ewe.. I LOVE THAT MOVIE!

Ok, so I haven’t tried any other data recovery software but after using this one, I doubt I’ll need to look into other ones. The awesome program I’m talking about is Zero Assumption Recovery.

I was taking pics of random things yesterday with my new camera (woot! go G10!) and when I went to transfer it, stupid me deleted the whole card before moving the photos off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The new photos were shot on an old memory card so when I transferred it, the first pics I saw were the old ones so I immediately thought the pics were in another folder. Of course, not actually checking if the new photos were in another folder…I just highlighted everything and pressed delete. EHH!!!! The images didn’t go to my recycle bin (which I thought it would have…I don’t know why I thought that since it never does…lol) so I immediately started to google “deleted photos off memory card“.

I don’t remember how many urls I went to until I found it but THANK GOD FOR ZERO ASSUMPTION RECOVERY. After downloading and installing the program (which was super easy), I ran it and selected the “recover photos from memory card” setting and off it went. The whole thing took a little more than 1 hour and not only did it restore photos that I just deleted…it also restored 296 old photos that were deleted before! So basically the program restored 1.82 gigs of photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Out of the 504 photos I’d say about 25-30 of them were corrupt but I’m not complaining… saving 475 pics is better than nothing.

I love this software but I really hope that I never have to use it again…lol

ps. I forgot to mention, the program does renames/renumbers the photos so some of them won’t be in order. Most of mine were, but a few were out of place. Just thought you’d like to know :) Oh yeah and there’s a free trial period too! Thank you Zero Assumption Recovery!

When I was a kid, the only pets I was allowed to have were fish. Actually they weren’t even my fish, they were my bro’s, but lucky me.. I got to feed them. Seeing how other kids had dogs or cats that could be held and kissed, I was always super jealous. It’s not the safest or cleanest thing for me to stick my chubby little hands into their fish home and touch them, but that’s what I did. I pet my fish.

My bro had 4 Oscars that were pretty small at the time and I would stick my hand in his 50 gallon tank and “pet” them. I can only imagine what the fish thought, but after every petting session I’d gladly give them some food and so I guess they tolerated the affection. Anyone that has had Oscars know that they get pretty big, so by the time they were the size of my palm I stopped petting them. I think it was the many times that the Oscars wanted to be fed first and tried to chew on my hands that really turned me off … AHAHAHAHAH. I guess they weren’t the best pets for a kid but I loved them and I still loooooooooove fish. I just can’t seem to keep my fancy goldfish alive nowadays so I’ve just stopped trying.

Well, loving youtube, I was searching around watching fish videos the other day and ran across this kit. It’s sooooooooooooo cool! There are various setups you can put into your aquarium and train your fish to play a bunch of sports. Your fish can push a soccer ball, swim through poles like those dog competitions, and a bunch of other things. You’ll just have to watch the video to see….cause I think it’s amazing.

For those of you that might want to buy it, checkout ThinkGeek cause they have the R2 Fish Training School Kit. Save some moolah with this coupon code

Eyeshadow stickers

November 7, 2008 Cool Stuff Comments

I know that the whole smokey eye look has been so popular the last few years and since it’s not the easiest technique to master, ColorOn Professional invented eyeshadow stickers to help with the hard part…blending! Even though I think the blending looks great after it’s done…it is very expensive to buy. 20 applications for $35 seems a bit high…but then again it’s not as expensive as hiring a makeup artist every time you want to fancy it up. Checkout some videos on this product.

Original video from their website

Here’s a video of an application that um.. looks funny to me cause the pink isn’t really shaded to the shape of her eyes, but I think that’s probably a pretty common problem unless you blend it out yourself. Pretty colors though…

Here’s another video of someone using their products and I actually like the idea of it but realistically…who is going to wear that unless it’s Halloween or you’re really trying to get some attention… lol. And once again, the shape of the eyeshadow isn’t very flattering…

I wonder how they can customize it for people with eyelids that aren’t so thick. I’m guessing that the eyeshadow will end up in their eyebrows… ahahahah.

Last night Jon and I took my parents to go watch Medieval Times and it was really fun! The last time I went was 5 years ago with Jon and there have been a [More]

Well I got acupuncture for the first time today and it was crazyyyyyyyyyy. The doctor was referred to my mom from her friend. My dad went in for his neck pain and I went in for my female problems.. ahem..tmi!!

Anyhoo.. I was really scared at first but the doctor actually started to put the needles in.. it wasn’t bad at all! It felt like having a pen poke you real fast and after it was in, you couldn’t feel it at all. I think I had 20 needles in me and only 1 or 2 actually made the skin around the needle feel sore, but other than that it was painless. Then the doctor started to burn something over the needles and it felt super warm as the heat went down the needle and man did it get hot. My mom had to come in and spray water on the skin around the needles… lol

Well after lying around for 35 minutes I got up and felt awesome! I actually felt kind of high… lol.. um not that I know what being high feels like.. ahem..

OMG I would never go on this looping water slide cause the idea of going upside down and having water around me while I’m going upside down is too scarry!!!!!!!!!! But of course I know a ton of you brave people out there would try this. Man I’m so jealous… EHH I wish i had big balls.. lol

Dinner in the Sky… scarry but coool!! Forbes ranked them as one of the top 10 most unusual restaurants in the world. You can hire this company to throw a dinner party for you and 21 other guests to eat 130ft – 160ft above ground. I wonder if the guests are strapped into their chairs (I really hope so) or given a bungee cord that’s attached to the table or something. Either way, I doubt I could ever eat like that. Scarryy!!!
