Thanks to Jaxon for this awesome video link. Love this guy cause he’s super skilled and his comments are bloody hilarious. I doubt I could even get past the first series of jumps. Playing games that involve timing jumps is just not my forte.

Lately Jon and I have been trying to clean out the house since it’s a new year and going through my old stuff has reminded me of when I had a pet cockatiel named “Baby”. My brother bought her and 2 of her buddies home from a local breeder and she was one cool bird. She was handfed so she was super tame and very sweet. She was all yellow and had red eyes and cute red cheeks. Thinking back I can remember that she loved being on my shoulders while I did my homework and have me scratch the back of her head whenever I took a break. I even took her outside sometimes to get mail and she’d just stay on my shoulders.

While I was visiting Taiwan, with my mom the summer before 8th grade, my brother accidentally let her fly outside and when he went to get her she just flew away. Not knowing what happened, I had a strange dream that same week about Baby. In the dream, I was at a lake and I saw her, but when I went to go get her she flew away from me. My brother wouldn’t have told us till we got back from Taiwan, but because of that dream…we called home and my brother had to tell me the bad news… ehh…

Anyhoo…since I’ve been reminiscing about Baby and the other cockatiels we had…I decided to search Youtube to find some fun cockatiel videos that would cheer me up.

First video: This sweet cockatiel is singing his heart out to his buddy (I think a female bird) while she looks terrified of him.. lol (actually I’d be terrified if someone was singing the Kill Bill song to me too… ahaha). If you watch the whole video you can see that he clearly knows a lot of the song and isn’t just singing the same verse over and over again.

Second video: I love is this sweet cockatiel named Ashlee. She just seems sooooo happy! She gets all fluffed up and stretches her wings out and it’s just so cute to me so I just had to include it in this list.. lol. Maybe I like her cause she reminds me of myself after watching too many YouTube videos… lol I just sorta..spazz out.. AHAHAHH

Third video: This cockatiel named Zizou is super smart and loves to sing the Imperial March from Star Wars when someone waves their hands at him. Ahahah he’s super cutie and super talented!!!

Last but not least, is my ultra fav video of a cockatiel just hanging out and singing into his human’s ear. Ok, it’s not the best thing for that poor guy’s ears but I think it just shows how sweet and social cockatiels are. Only downer is you actually have to go to YouTube to watch cause the owner turned off embedding…but it’s worth it! Check it out!
cockatiels singing

P.S. One funny thing I’ve noticed after watching a ton of singing cockatiel videos from YouTube is that whenever there’s a video of a cockatiel singing and there’s another bird in the video….the other one is always freaked out, trying to get away, or seems very annoyed….LOL

WOot! I just got back from a shoot and realized that I received an award from YouTube! Ok.. it’s not much of an award.. lol.. I was #54 – Most Subscribed (This Week) – Directors. Ok…the number could be higher..but hey.. I’m not complaining!! For those of you who don’t know yet, my YouTube link is http://www.youtube.com/jentvdottv so suscribe if you haven’t already!!

Ok…. yes I looooooove YouTube. I don’t know if I’m addicted to it but I can easily spend an hour just surfing around and watching random stuff. On one of those “I don’t know what to do so I’ll surf YouTube” sorta days, I found a video from this guy, Nick Pitera that caught my eye. At first I thought it was just another person singing a Disney song but I soon realized that um… he was singing both parts of the song in character!

I found his Myspace page and apparently he has other videos showcasing his talents. I have to admit that it’s a bit strange to see a guy sing a “princess” part…but it’s a cool video and I love the song :)
